Sunday Thoughts

My favorite Proverb:

Proverbs 3:5, 6

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. (Amplified version)
There are so many promises in the bible, and God is always faithful to keep them. I'm having a hard time right now when it comes to focusing on Him and making time for reading and praying, and I'm so glad He isn't just disgusted with me (like I am with myself, lol) for not being able to stay consistent and keep it all together. I know how important it is for me to stay close to God, both for my sake and for my daughter and husband - it's such hard work sometimes, though! The problem is that life gets even harder when I don't pray and read the bible.

I think I need better habits. ;-) I'm still adjusting to having a baby but life is slowing down, is less chaotic somewhat and there is a little more time for routine. And I can always make time for blogging so I definitely need to keep up the Bible time, lol.

How do you keep your priorities in line in your life?

If you were a "missionary" in another country working with children and adults, I'm sure you wouldn't be as hard on yourself. Well, you are not in another country, but you are a "missionary" in a sense. God has called you to be a mother and wife and to teach your child about Him and to be a teammate with your husband to further His Kingdom within your own family, first, and second, to others you meet in this journey called life. So therefore, you're validated from this day forward. Rev up by reading His Word and you are doing what you need to be doing.
